Exhibition Space Design Regulations

1. EXHIBITION SPACE DESIGN

The Feria Clandestina in Miami Exhibition Space Design Regulations form an integral part of the contract between the exhibitor and AMCLLC (see the EXHIBITION REGULATIONS FOR FERIA CLANDESTINA). The following regulations for exhibition space design must be strictly followed. No exceptions can be made, therefore, for safety and design reasons, all exhibition space design elements are subject to prior verification by the Show Management.

1.1 PRESENTATION

All exhibition space design must be approved by the Show Management. In the event your proposed configuration does not comply with thee Exhibition Space Design Regulations, the Show Management will contact you.

Every exhibitor is responsible for the stability all elements included in their exhibition space including furniture (in rare cases, uneven floor conditions may require extra support).

1.2. WALL REGULATIONS

1.2.1 Wall Attachment Regulations

The exhibitors are responsible for ensuring that their artworks are correctly attached or affixed to the walls. AMCLLC disclaims all responsibility for damage resulting from incorrect attachment/installation.

1.2.2 Wall Painting and Wallpaper Regulations

All paint jobs must be requested by exhibitors using the Additional Services Form and approved in writting by Show Management. Exhibitors are not allowed to paint walls themselves. Only Benjamin Moore brand paint may be used. Please inform your the Show Management of the specified color code (Benjamin Moore, RAL or NCS). No paint, glue or varnish may be applied to wall/door elements (including artworks applied directly to the walls) without prior written permission from the Show Management, which such permission may be withheld in the Show Management‘s sole and absolute discretion. If the painting regulations are not followed, a penalty fee will be charged to the exhibitor.

1.2.3 Wall Damage Regulations

1.2.3.1 Total Wall Damage

Any of the following are considered total wall damage and will incur a USD 1,100 fee per damaged wall element and charged to the exhibitor:

• Any wall damage larger than 1 cm (0.4 in) in diameter

• A concentration of multiple holes

• Holes that penetrate through the entire wall element.

• Wallpaper, tape, glue or paint that is not water-based and therefore cannot be removed

• Any drilling into aluminum frames of the wall panels

• Any drilling in window frames, doors, door frames, furniture, or any other objects in the room.

• Any damages which compromises the structural integrity of the wall/door and/or impairs the load bearing capacity

1.2.3.2 Repairable Wall Damage

Labor hours will be charged for removing any screws, nails, pins, anchors, or vinyl letters that have been left behind on the wall. Any paint that may have been applied by a gallery for an art work presentation will have to be painted back to white by Feria Clandestina's contractors and those costs will be charged accordingly.

1.2.4 Wall Text and Logos

General booth signage is provided by Feria Clandestina the information about artworks should be provided by the Exhibitor via printed materials or digital resources.

1.2.5 Crates leaning against Walls

Due to safety reasons and to avoid possible wall damage, crates or other heavy objects must not lean against any walls. Any repairs nec

1.3 FLOOR DAMAGE REGULATIONS

Nothing may be attached or drilled into the concrete floor of the Exhibition Space. Any floor damage will be charged to the exhibitor based upon the labor charges and material costs involved in its repair.

1.4 CEILING REGULATIONS

Nothing may be attached or drilled into the concrete ceiling of the Exhibition Space. Any ceiling damage will be charged to the exhibitor based upon the labor charges and material costs involved in its repair.

1.5 STORAGE SPACE REGULATIONS

Storage space within your Exhibition Space must not exceed 20% of the total space. Storage space must be closed either by a door or a white curtain ordered from AMCLLC.

2. ARTWORK PRESENTATION

All installations inside the Exhibition Space, excluding the installation of artworks, must be executed by venue staff or AMCLLC ‘s contractors.

2.1 ARTWORKS PROTRUDING INTO THE AISLES

Artworks may only be presented within the booth area. For safety reasons artwork installed inside the Exhibition Space area. If you fail to comply with this regulation, the Show Management reserves the right to remove the artwork l at the cost of the exhibitor.

2.2 ARTWORKS INVOLVING WATER, FIRE, SMOKE, DANGEROUS OR FLAMMABLE MATERIALS

Artworks involving water, fire, smoke, other dangerous or noxious fumes, effluent or emissions or dangerous or flammable materials are not permitted. All artwork is subject to Fire and Safety Requirements.

2.3 PERFORMANCES

Any performances held inside the booth must not disturb the exhibitors in neighboring booths either visually, acoustically or spatially, and must be approved in writing by the Show Management after the Exhibitor submits specific dates, time, duration, participating artists and descriptive information. They must not in any way impede the circulation of the visitors in the aisles.

2.4 AUDIO AND VIDEO

Audio and video systems must be operated with a subdued volume at all times, as determined by the Show Management in its reasonable discretion.

2.5 ARTWORKS INVOLVING LIGHT AND ELECTRICITY

The installation of certain artworks may entail special electrical requirements. These must be in compliance with electrical safety requirements, and must be brought to the attention of the Show Management prior to the exhibitor move-in (see 3. Lighting and Electricity Regulations) and approved in writing. Light Installations (neon displays, LEDs, etc.) may not be placed on the external walls of the Exhibition Space area, to avoid interference with the presentation of neighboring Exhibition Spaces.

2.6 NEON REQUIREMENTS

• All of the electrical components and wiring shall be fully enclosed and protected from direct access by the public.

• The neon tubes must be covered with plexiglass or glass to prevent visitors from coming in contact with the tubes and the electrical wiring/components. Where glass or plexiglass covers are not feasible, a barrier shall be used to prevent visitors from reaching out and touching the neon tubes or the electrical components. The barrier shall be at least 1.25 m (4.1 ft) away from the nearest tube or electrical component and be high enough to prevent people from stepping or falling over it, approximately 0.5 m (2.46 ft). The barrier can be stainless steel railing, wires, ropes, or glass panels and should be fastened to the adjacent walls.

• If a neon work is unprotected (without a plexiglass cover or barrier) it will be removed at cost of the Exhibitor.

• The transformers shall have an Underwriter‘s Laboratories (UL), Factory Mutual (FM) or ETL label.

• Wiring penetrations through the display panels/partitions shall be fully insulated. All wiring shall be isolated from contact with the internal wood components of the partitions.

2.7 HEAVY ARTWORK INSTALLATION REGULATIONS

Show Management must be informed in writing about heavy installations, i.e. over 30 kg (66.14 lbs) per 1 m wall panel, prior to the exhibitor move-in, so that the Show Management can propose reinforcement solutions. Such orders are implemented only after the exhibitor receives and approves the cost estimate.AMCLLC disclaims all liability for damaged artwork, personal injury or otherwise resulting from incorrect attachment/installation.

2.8 SUSPENDING ARTWORKS

Suspending artworks is not permitted.

3. LIGHTING AND ELECTRICITY REGULATIONS

3.1 ELECTRICAL OUTLETS

It’s not permitted to modify or tamper with Electrical Outlets.

3.3 ELECTRICAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Only lighting fixtures and electronic equipment with Underwriters Laboratories (UL), ETL or Factory Mutual (FM) labels are accepted by the Fire Marshal in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code (NFPA 101). Electronics being used and presented in a manner other than their original manufactured intent are subject to Fire Marshal approval.

Allowed hanging systems

Only Feria Clandestina staff/contractors are authorized to install the rail hanging systems. These are the only systems allowed for displaying wall pieces.
