I recently joined an online sensemaking community- (rebel wisdom) I had had this question posed to me, -how is my art contributing to my sensemaking?
Or is my sense-making part of my art or any other practice?
I will explore this theme in weeks to come and share my findings...
Last night I started installing victory over the sun #13, a site intervention where I ask the space to tell me what it needs...
In this case the curator, (thank you for your vision and trust) Nuria Richards , invited me to intervene in an empty space that can be viewed from the outside through the windows and becomes alive at different times of the day...
I chose victory over the sun because it is a work that emerges differently according to the space, it speaks to me as I make decisions on what materials to use, what to project, what to reveal without disturbing the given space
- it is ephemeral Like we are, it is evolving like we are, it has specific needs as we do, it speaks diversely and connects to others differently depending on their perspective
Art can be a conductor, yet art needs to be expressed in a vessel and for it needs to be able to transcend
we must as creators always know that our impact is beyond our reach and control yet for that reason, it is my responsibility to be accountable for what I decide all the time

Victory over the Sun is a Russian Futurist opera premiered in 1913 at the Luna Park in Saint Petersburg.
The libretto written in zaum language was contributed by Aleksei Kruchonykh, the music was written by Mikhail Matyushin, the prologue was added by Velimir Khlebnikov, and the stage designer was Kazimir Malevich.
The opera has become notable as the event where Malevich made his first Black Square, as part of a design for a curtain.[1] The first performance was organised by the artistic group Soyuz Molodyozhi.
The title makes reference to the opera with the same name 1913
